Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix realized early on that she was gifted to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks after the first time she tried out. Felix finished high school in 2003, and signed with Adidas to become a professional athlete. In the following year, she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. The following year, Felix won the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest participant in the 200 meter at the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal time and time again in 2007 beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
